Dr. Koch has been practicing Obstetrics medicine at Carson Medical Group for 27 years. She moved with her husband, Dr. Timothy McFarren (also an OBGYN at Carson Medical Group), to Carson City in 1990 from the Central Valley of California to welcome a new lifestyle that included open space, lower population and easy access to recreation. They love that Northern Nevada has quite a diverse population and wonderful access for outdoor recreation.
Skiing, biking and canoeing are just a few of the outdoor activities that Dr. Koch enjoys; as each season comes along there seems to be something new to enjoy. The discovery of something amazing is found around every corner in Nevada; she and her husband love to explore this unique and underpopulated state.
When it comes to her chosen profession, Dr. Koch believes that healthy lifestyle leads to good health. She encourages her patients to take good care of themselves. Her goal is to empower women to understand how to take charge of their own health. Dr. Koch leads by example by modeling a healthy lifestyle.
Thankfully, Carson Medical Group gave both Dr. Koch and her husband an opportunity to balance the quality of life they wanted as a family while being of service to the women of Northern Nevada.
